[Esquire Singapore] In my Man at His Best drinking column for this month’s stellar Esquire issue, I popped the question of corks —wine corks. What effect does synthetic, plastic and agglomerated corks, or screwcaps, crowncaps and glass stoppers have on the quality of wines? I asked chief sommeliers from St. Regis, Raffles Hotel and Les Amis Group, and threw in an oenologist.
